Curiosities

Things I looked into for fun. Each one takes a public dataset that happens to be in circulation and uses it to explain one idea in statistics or economics. The dataset is the occasion; the idea is the point.

None of this is research. It is descriptive and exploratory, it says what the data show and stops there, and it has nothing to do with my work at Banco de México. What it does share with the rest of the site is the arithmetic: every number comes from a public source and is computed with the survey’s own design, the same standard the Labor Market MX pages follow.
