Storytelling in Economics
Master in Applied Economics · Spring 2025
Two questions run through the course: how economic narratives spread and move real outcomes, and why some arguments take hold within economics itself while others don’t. The anchor text is Robert Shiller’s Narrative Economics. From there, the practical craft: structuring an argument, choosing what to show, designing tables and figures that carry the point, and writing for policy audiences. Materials are public.
